SUMMARY

Clinical supervision is a vital component of professional development in fields such as psychology, counseling, social work, and nursing. Effective supervision enhances practitioners’ skills, promotes ethical practice, and supports the overall quality of care provided to clients. Matthew will review best practices for clinical supervision that enhance effectiveness and promote professional growth.

PRESENTER

Matthew Libertore, LCPC, is founder and Clinical Psychotherapist at Luminary Solutions, PLLC, Adjunct Professor at DePaul University, and senior advisor to Intellispark. As an educational leader with over 10 years experience Matt previously held positions as a school and district leader and is the past-president of the Illinois School Counselor Association. Matt earned his Doctorate in Education Leadership from Concordia University and also holds his Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor credential. In addition, Matt holds two master’s degrees in Counseling and Education Leadership from Saint Xavier University and Northeastern Illinois University respectively. Clinically, Matt continues to focus his work on supporting those with early life traumas. He specializes at helping those to better process current day stressors related to anxiety and depression through the holistic approach of EMDR and IFS modalities. He fosters a supervisory model of psychoeducation and personal self-exploration through a parts lens to better support future psychotherapists.
