Midway Mediation and Counseling is a small group practice of friendly, skilled clinicians and mediators who provide gender-inclusive individual, marital and family counseling, in English and Spanish, in a safe, warm and inviting outpatient setting. Collectively, we treat depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, ADHD, relationship conflict, life transition due to health concerns, career changes or job loss, divorce, grief, domestic violence, high stress, or anger management problems. We specialize in EMDR and Brainspotting therapy, a short-term, highly effective therapy for resolving recent or past trauma or stressors-no matter the size or intensity-including phobias, grief, abuse, accidents or injuries, chronic pain, anxiety, performance anxiety, OCD, disrupted sleep, to name a few. Brainspotting and EMDR therapies have helped tens of thousands of people all over the world find relief and significantly alter their lives. Our mediation services include divorce mediation; peer/relationship mediation for siblings, friends, neighbors, co-workers; and parent-adolescent mediation for families in conflict over enforcement of parenting time, curfews, rule violations, school, or other conflicts that interfere with healthy family functioning. Co-Parent Coaching offers a solution for high-conflict parents to learn to communicate and co-parent effectively after a divorce or break-up. We also have a Life Coach on staff who can help you with identifying and accomplishing your short-term and long-term life goals, reducing stress and getting clarity on your future, including career, relationships and emotional well-being.
We serve children, adolescents and adults in McHenry County and the surrounding area for in-person sessions and anyone in the State of Illinois for telehealth or virtual sessions. All races, genders and nationalities welcome!
We have appointments available 5 days a week from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. most days.
For therapy services, we are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice, Optum Behavioral Health ( United Healthcare), United Medical Resources, and Aetna. Self-Pay fees range from $100-$175 per session depending on service provided and provider.
