Main Stay's mission is to enrich mind, body and spirit through powerful connections with horses, animals and nature. Main Stay provides equine, animal-assisted, and adaptive gardening programs.
Adaptive/Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship partners horses and people to achieve a wide variety of skills, with benefits received physically, cognitively, and socially. Further, working on the ground with the horses learning horsemanship skills provides additional learning opportunities and time to connect with the horses.
Equine and animal-assisted learning celebrates the human-animal connection by providing facilitated activities to motivate, educate, and enhance the general quality of life for clients.
Main Stay serves individuals of all ages with physical, developmental, emotional and social challenges.
Opportunities to strengthen mind and body abound for individuals facing physical, developmental, emotional and social challenges, including: -Physical strengthening through adaptive riding -Community building through peer and life skills mentorship -Social and emotional skill development through interactions with animals in a herd/community -Enrichment activities for early childhood-senior populations -Encourages and nurtures empathetic behaviors
The farm is a place where everyone belongs and is celebrated for who they are and how they would like to grow. Connecting humans, horses, animals and nature creates the foundation for powerful growth opportunities.
Private & semi-private adaptive riding lessons as well as Individual, family and group animal assisted sessions are available. Call for more details.
Physician's release may be required. Weight restriction to participate in the adaptive riding program.
Fees vary by program. Insurance not accepted. Scholarships available to those that qualify.
