Riveredge Hospital is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider that serves children, adolescents, and adults. We believe in a Trauma-Informed Care philosophy that values the dignity of the individuals we serve by treating them with compassion and respect. Licensed for 210 beds, Riveredge Hospital is the largest free-standing behavioral health care hospital in the state of Illinois. We provide the full continuum of behavioral healthcare services including acute inpatient, outpatient, and residential treatment. Our acute inpatient units are separate and clinically distinct and include units serving pediatrics, adolescent boys and girls, adults with mood disorders, adults with co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders, and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our specialized behavioral health program for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is the only program of its kind in Illinois. We also have a residential program for males ages 16 to 21 with a diagnosis of mental illness and sexually problematic behaviors.
We serve children as young as 4 through life cycle who are in need of inpatient, partial hospitalization and out patient programs.
